Reaching toward your heart…

Hari writes:

Dear Michael,

I am deeply touched by your actions and your words. You have put so much into so few words. Nobody who reads this can possibly know what you went through, but I hope they can feel it. If you are reading this, read it again, a few times. Let this in.

Yoga talks about this freedom. Yoga is freedom. You are traveling through the energy of the chakras and your subtle bodies to become free. You are reaching toward your heart and doing the best you can to find your way, risking, reaching. It is not an easy journey. I know that this good bye you speak of – was a good bye to your pain and past. I pray – I know – you will say hello with a new heart, a king, not a beggar.

Once you enter on the path to leave the past behind, there is tremendous energy that gets released. If you are lucky enough to learn to channel this energy, it can propel you towards your practice and instead of delaying and procrastinating, there will finally be enough momentum for you to meet your self – head on.

Surrendering to a practice, to a teacher, giving in to your absolute quest for healing – this along with meditation and yoga practice will release blocks. There they go, walls tumbling down, creating space, creativity. Prana flooding through the body lighting up cells like fireworks, and shining light into your darkness. Get ready- You are going to see yourself!

The most important question is, ‘Who are you?’ Your stories have made you weary. You long to let go, like a pain in your heart, in your cells, in your mind, finally the weariness gives way to an unwavering commitment because you just cannot stand occupying the same space with yourself anymore!

To shed the body armor will take pressure and time, work hard with your will to apply yourself to the practice. Add love and desire for your own heart, desire to see your own heart filled with light, full, and open.

Here is the Heart Lotus Meditation- it will help…

Sometimes grace flashes and in an instant you know you are home. Sometimes the sleeping dragons wake up and you remember your pain from a distance, it will be so amazing, the world will be small and your heart will be huge. Your heart will contain the universe, instead of such a small earth, instead of being trapped in the prison of the ribcage. This is called the altitude of your practice.

I do not know if I told you the story, but one day I died, and when I awoke the tulips had the most unusual shade of red. I was absolutely sure I had never seen that red before. I looked in the mirror and was absolutely sure I had never seen that woman before. As I regained my memory and remembered how stupid my thoughts had been for so many years, I laughed. There was no other response possible.

Keep up Michael, and you will be kept up!

Hari
